Welcome to Taff!
We believe it’s a right, not a privilege, to have access to a safe, warm, and affordable home. That’s why we do what we do. We’re a not-for profit organisation, and our mission is simple: to provide great homes and services to support communities to thrive.

Who we are
We are a trusted provider of social housing and housing-related support in Cardiff and across South East Wales. We develop places with people, not profit, in mind, and are determined to deliver high quality-homes and services by being an excellent social landlord and one of the best providers of affordable housing and support services. We’re proud to be a not-for-profit organisation. That means every penny goes back into building better homes, stronger communities, and new opportunities

What we do
We look after more than 1,600 homes in Cardiff, giving over 4,000 people somewhere to call home. Every year, we support over 1,000 individuals, from young people and families to those experiencing homelessness. Our help ranges from floating support in the community to 24-hour support in our hostels, and specialist schemes to help people settle and thrive.

Celebrating 50 years
2025 is a big year for us. Taff turns 50! From our first homes on Ethel Street in Canton, to our newest developments on the sites of the old Radiocraft store and Riva Bingo Hall, we’ve come a long way. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, but we know the need for good homes and support is just as important now as it was back in 1975
How we do things
At Taff, our values guide everything we do: Trust, Ambition, Learning and Kindness. These aren’t just words, they shape every conversation, every interaction, and every decision we make.
Walking the talk
We listen to our tenants and service users. Their views help us shape our services and our future. We work closely with others who share our goals, building strong partnerships right across our communities
Kindness and empathy are at the heart of our work. We’re committed to supporting communities to thrive, and we’ve adopted the principles of a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE). This means we think about how people’s experiences affect their lives, and we use this understanding in everything we do across the whole organisation.
We won’t shy away from helping people tackle tough issues like unemployment, poverty, domestic violence, poor mental health, and anti-social behaviour. We’re here to help people tackle the challenges they face, with compassion and practical support.
