Taff appoints Joshua Dowdall as new Chief Executive
Taff has today (15 December 2025) announced the appointment of its new Chief Executive.

We are delighted to announce that Josh Dowdall will take up the role of Chief Executive in January 2026.
Following a thorough recruitment process over recent weeks and after careful consideration, the Board has confirmed Josh as the successful candidate for the Chief Executive role.
Josh joined Taff in 2009 and has held a number of roles during his time with the organisation. Most recently, he has served as Executive Director of People and Places. In this role, he has played a key part in shaping the organisation’s work, collaborating closely with teams across Taff and leading a wide range of projects, including redesigning how we ensure our tenants and service users influence our decision-making processes and implementing significant changes to how we deliver effective asset management and our repairs service.
Peter Curran, Chair of the Board, said:
“We are very pleased to confirm Josh as Chief Executive. This is an excellent appointment for Taff, and I would like to congratulate him on his new role”.
“The selection process was extremely rigorous, with a number of strong candidates performing to a very high standard”.
“Josh brings a wealth of experience and will build on the strong foundations already in place, his insight into the challenges and opportunities ahead makes him an excellent choice to lead us into the next chapter”.
Speaking about the appointment, Josh said:
“Having spent many years at Taff, the organisation really feel likes home to me. I know first-hand what makes it special, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into the role of Chief Executive.
I feel very lucky to work alongside such committed, passionate colleagues who care deeply about making a positive difference every day. Together, we’ve already achieved so much, and I’m excited to build on that work.
I look forward to continuing to work closely with the Board and our teams as we respond to the challenges ahead and make the most of the opportunities in front of us.”
