What we do
Support at Taff is all about people. We offer more than just a place to stay; we provide the help and encouragement people need to move forward. Each year, we work alongside over 1,000 individuals in Cardiff and across South Wales, offering specialist support for young people, families, and anyone facing tough times. From supported accommodation and floating support to community relocation schemes and 24-hour help in our hostels, we’re there when people need us most.
Who we help
Life can throw up all sorts of challenges, relationship breakdown, poverty, poor housing, mental health struggles, substance misuse, leaving care, homelessness or even fleeing war and persecution. We’re here for anyone who needs a fresh start, whatever the reason.
How we support
We put people at the centre of everything we do. Our team listens first, then tailors support to each individual. We use evidence-based practice, train our colleagues in trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches, and never lose of the person behind the story.
We know that trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can shape a person’s journey. No two people are the same, so no two support plans are either. We’re creative in how we help, flexible in our approach, so everyone gets the chance to move forward at their own pace. We’re always looking for new ways to make a real difference. Support that lasts and futures that grow.
We know conflicts and setbacks happen. We use restorative approaches to help people repair relationships and manage challenges constructively. Our teams are strong, resilient, and always learning, with regular training and development to keep us at our best.
