It is with a heavy heart that we remember and pay tribute to Sue Carleton who sadly passed away on Friday 20th February.

For 16 years, Sue was part of the Taff community. During that time, she became an active and respected member of the Tenant and Resident Association, the Have Your Say Group, the Disability Awareness Group, and the Strategic Panel, and also served as a Board Member.

Sue was a strong advocate for tenant voice. She cared deeply about fairness and about people being properly heard. If she felt something wasn’t right, she would say so, always because she wanted things to be better for others.

She was a kind and thoughtful person, and that came through in everything she did. She gave her time generously and would always come up with ideas about how could better support the community. Over many years, Sue helped shape important conversations and played an important role in helping residents shape and scrutinise our services.

Her contribution to Taff has been invaluable, and we know her passing will be felt not only by family, friends, but by fellow tenants, neighbours and colleagues who had the chance to work alongside her. She will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with Sue’s family and friends at this difficult time.
